New Romans partnered Penfolds Wines and the South Australian Tourism Commission to bring to life the magnificent Magill Estate Winery in South Australia.
The project comprised an evocative video vignette featuring chief winemaker Peter Gago and a long-form written feature which was distributed and amplified through multiple channels globally across traditional and social media.
New Romans told a story of a ‘working winery’ and tried to evoke the wonder of a Willy Wonka world for adults in the video and story in a bid to engage a wide audience of potential local and international visitors.
With Gago purposely crafted as the chief narrator, the video eloquently describes Magill Estate as a totally immersive wine experience from the vineyard to the palate – much more than just another cellar door.
Powerful, but intentionally short at just over a minute so it could be used through a number of channels, New Romans used this short-form approach to do that we do best for clients – bring their stories to life, in a powerful and emotive way. Gago himself describes Magill as a “living, breathing thing” and the imagery and storytelling brings his vision, and that of Penfolds, to life or as he says best: “a complete wine experience, only a stone-throw away.”
